For those who follow my tweets will know that i have asking Tan Sri Tony Fernandes about Airasia flight to Melaka. I have been tweeting with him a few times and he is a down-to-earth CEO and would replied all my tweets.
Yesterday 1st July mark another chapter for Melaka Airport. Airasia began its first commercial flight from Penang to Melaka 7x weekly. The flight will depart from Penang at 1.20pm and arrive at 2.25pm and departure from Melaka is 2.50pm and arrival at the Penang International Airport at 4.00pm
After having a thought of purchase a ticket, finally decide to use my Airasia Big Points since it now only valid for 2 years.

AK6285 the inaugural flight to PEN depart Melaka airport at 3.04pm and arrived in Penang airport at 4.00pm, 5 minutes short of Malindo Air which depart 18 minutes earlier from Melaka.
After spending about 1 and half hours at the airport, it is time to fly back to Kuala Lumpur. The aircraft rego 9M-AQR parked at the last gate of the KLIA2 domestic wing. Walking distance from the gate to arrival hall took about 8 minutes.
Took dinner at Premium Lounge Plaza and enjoy 2 glasses of beer. At 8.10pm, StarMart Express bus has finally arrived and i am on the back after 5 hours out of Melaka.
A fantastic experience of inaugural flight . Hope there will be more new routes from Melaka Airport in coming months.
